Situated off the main R332 beween Willowmore and Patensie, ( reached by a 4x4 trail from Rus en Vrede) Baviaans Lodge is a stunning Wilderness Guest Lodge offering superb accommodation and meals. Hartebeestpost is located on the Hartebees River Road 19 kilometers outside Uniondale en route to the Baviaanskloof Wilderness Area. It is the ideal stopover point for persons wishing to make an early start to explore the Baviaanskloof or alternatively a destination in its own right.

The last overnight stop before the Baviaanskloof. Vaalwater Lodge and Bush Camp is situated on the Western approach to the Baviaanskloof on the Vaalwater Road and is therefore well-located as a base for day trips into the Kloof. It offers both self-catering accommodation as well as a number of large campsites. The camp boasts a newly constructed modern ablution block with lots of hot water on tap.
